Yvonne McClean & Rainelle Lushina from Habitat for Humanity

We had reached out to Habitat for Humanity Maui earlier in the summer about a Hawaiian Homes project in Keokea. Their visit to our club became even more relevant after the devastating wildfires of August 8. Yvonne and Rainelle spoke to us about what Habitat for Humanity Maui does to help the less well off become first time home owners. They also talked about how the Lahaina fire affected the work they had previously done in Lahaina.

Marni Rozet - IMUA Family Services

Marni wasn't able to speak in person due to illness but did join us via Zoom. She talked with us about what's new with IMUA Family Services including their Discovery Garden in Wailuku, their community events (like their Halloween Festival) and most recently their Drop In childcare at Napili Park. This most recent project is their way of assisting families who have been impacted by the disastrous Lahaina wildfire.
