Local Partnerships, Local Impact
Our club believes in the power of collaboration. We regularly join forces with exceptional organizations that are on the front lines of community needs:
Mālama Kula: We are proud partners with Mālama Kula, an action-oriented 501(c)(3) nonprofit leading the charge in Maui wildfire recovery and prevention in the Kula area. Once a quarter, our members volunteer for vital projects, supporting everything from immediate disaster relief and property cleanup to fire fuel reduction, hazard mitigation, and community resilience building. Our work with Mālama Kula is crucial for healing, safeguarding, and strengthening our beloved community in the wake of recent challenges.
Skyline Conservation Initiative: Protecting Maui's unique environment is paramount. We actively partner with Skyline Hawaii's Conservation Initiative, joining them once a quarter for hands-on reforestation and environmental projects. Our members help plant native trees, remove invasive species, and restore vital ecosystems on the slopes of Haleakalā, ensuring the island's natural beauty thrives for future generations.
Expanding Our Reach: New Initiatives & Ongoing Support
Beyond our cornerstone partnerships, the Rotary Club of Upcountry Maui is continually seeking ways to serve our community directly:
Maui Food Bank: We regularly organize and participate in food drives for the Maui Food Bank, providing essential sustenance to families experiencing food insecurity across the island. Every donation and hour volunteered helps ensure no one in our community goes hungry.
Kula Hospital Volunteer Program (Coming Soon!): We are excited to be launching a new volunteer program at Kula Hospital. Our members will soon be dedicating their time to support patients and staff, contributing to a more comfortable and caring environment for the kupuna living at the hospital.
